True North AI Scribe Support Program

Who is funding this program and why:

The Canadian government is investing hundreds of millions in public funds to support foreign startups and American tech giants while Canadian innovation is left behind.

In partnership with Canada Health Infoway, a new subsidy was launched to fund up to 10,000 one-year AI Scribe licenses for clinicians on a few selected platforms.

That's great news!

Canadian startups like ours never got the opportunity to apply. The vendor application opened with little public awareness and closed before most companies even knew it existed.

There are also no specialized AI scribe options on the Canada health Infoway list that serve mental health and counselling service providers. The scribes on their list all serve the healthcare field broadly and lean heavily towards medicine.

Now, Canadian startups are expected to compete with foreign platforms offering free AI scribes, for 1 year subsidized by the public funds we all contribute to and mental health and counselling service providers are being only being offered subsidized scribes that don't even address their needs.

So, we took action.

We created the True North AI Scribe Support Program to cover 50% of siy.ai subscription fees for 2,000 Canadian clinicians, for 3 full years funded independently.

No government dollars. No special access.
Just a deep belief that Canadian clinicians deserve access to Canadian innovation.
